Our Story
Two Black, Bold, and Beautiful wives came together with one mission: to create luxury scented candles that inspire warmth, joy, and intention. Every candle we pour is a piece of our story — paired with a handwritten affirmation to shine a little extra light into your life.
Now, meet the women behind the wicks.
Jehan is Philly through and through — Go Birds! Born and raised in West Philadelphia, she always had a drive to see what lay beyond her city. That curiosity led her to travel across states and eventually join the mighty U.S. Navy, where she proudly served as a top-tier Machinist Mate for 10 years. It was during that chapter that she met me.
So who am I? I’m Quanesha — but you can call me Q. A proud country girl from Wimauma, Florida (Go Bucs!), I later moved to Tampa and, like Jehan, felt called to experience life from a broader lens. I joined the Navy as well and have now served over a decade as one of the dopest Enginemen you’ll ever meet.
Our journey began in Great Lakes, Illinois, and the rest is history.
Q The Flame Candles was born from our shared love for storytelling, intention, and soulful self-care. We’ve walked through fire, built a life we love, and now we're pouring that same love into every candle we create.
At Q The Flame, we believe in the magic of candles — in their power to calm, uplift, and transform a space. Each one is made with high-quality soy wax, hand-poured in small batches, and infused with curated fragrances and affirmations to create a truly meaningful experience.
